Natural Habitat

Primarily found indoors, especially in kitchens and bathrooms, due to their need for warmth, moisture, and food sources. They hide in cracks, crevices, behind appliances, and inside cabinets.

Diet & Feeding

Omnivorous scavengers, feeding on almost anything, including food scraps, pet food, soap, glue, and even human hair and dead skin.

Behavior Patterns

They are nocturnal and prefer to hide in cracks and crevices during the day. Females lay eggs individually or in small clusters. Adults can live for several months.

Risks & Benefits

Risks: Known Pests. Can spread bacteria and pathogens, contaminate food, and trigger allergies and asthma in sensitive individuals. They do not provide significant benefits to humans or the indoor ecosystem.
