Thigmotactic and nocturnal; they remain hidden during the day and emerge at night to feed. Nymphs require a blood meal to progress through each of their five molting stages.
Risks & Benefits
A significant urban pest that causes skin irritation, psychological distress, and allergic reactions from bites. They do not typically transmit diseases but are difficult and expensive to eradicate.
