Size: 3 mm to 16 mm (1/8 to 5/8 inch), with nymphs being much smaller than adults.

Natural Habitat
Indoor environments, primarily kitchens and bathrooms near heat sources, moisture, and food.
Diet & Feeding
Omnivorous scavenger; eats starch, sweets, grease, meat products, and organic waste.
Behavior Patterns
Nocturnal and highly gregarious. They reproduce rapidly and tend to hide in tight cracks and crevices during the day.
Risks & Benefits
Risk: Major indoor pest that can spread pathogens (E. coli, Salmonella), trigger asthma/allergies, and contaminate food. Benefit: None in human dwellings.
