Diet & Feeding
Adults feed on nectar from various flowers; larvae (caterpillars) feed on legumes such as clover (Trifolium), lucerne (Medicago sativa), and trefoils (Lotus).
Behavior Patterns
Unlike many moths, this species is primarily day-flying and is often disturbed from low vegetation. It typically has two generations per year (bivoltine), flying from May to June and again from August to September.
