Natural Habitat
Found outdoors in turfgrass and weeds; indoors on windowsills, walls, and furniture, especially in sunny areas.
Diet & Feeding
Feeds on a wide variety of plants, including clover, grasses, fruit trees, and ornamental plants, by piercing plant cells and sucking out their contents.
Behavior Patterns
Active in cooler weather (spring and fall). They often invade homes in large numbers, seeking shelter from extreme temperatures. They do not bite humans or pets. When crushed, they leave a red stain.
Risks & Benefits
Potential risk: Nuisance pest indoors, causing red stains if crushed. No known benefits, but they are generally harmless to humans and pets.
