Ghost Spider (likely a small species or immature specimen)
Scientific Name: Family Anyphaenidae
Order & Family: Order Araneae, Family Anyphaenidae
Size: Typically small to medium-sized, ranging from 3 to 15 mm in body length.

Natural Habitat
Found in a variety of habitats including forests, grasslands, gardens, and often inside homes. They prefer to hide under bark, leaves, rocks, or within silken retreats when not hunting.
Diet & Feeding
Opportunistic predators, feeding on a wide range of small insects and other arthropods. They actively hunt their prey rather than building elaborate webs.
Behavior Patterns
Nocturnal hunters, they are fast-moving and agile. They do not build typical prey-catching webs but construct silken retreats or sacs for molting, resting, and egg-laying. Their light coloration provides camouflage against various surfaces (hence 'ghost' spider).
Risks & Benefits
Generally considered harmless to humans. Their bites are rare and typically result in only mild, localized pain and irritation, similar to a bee sting. They are beneficial for pest control, preying on various household and garden insects.
