Masked Hunter (Nymph stage)

Natural Habitat

Commonly found inside households and around buildings, often in dusty crevices, basements, or attics.

Diet & Feeding

Predatory; feeds on other small arthropods including bed bugs, carpet beetles, termites, and earwigs.

Behavior Patterns

Nymphs exhibit 'masking' behavior, using sticky hairs to cover their bodies with dust and debris for camouflage. They are nocturnal hunters.

Risks & Benefits

Beneficial as natural pest control by eating household pests. However, they can deliver a very painful defensive bite if handled, which may cause localized swelling.
