Natural Habitat
Lawns, grassy areas, and clover patches; often found on exterior walls, windowsills, and indoor surfaces during temperature shifts.
Diet & Feeding
Herbivorous. These mites feed on the sap of more than 200 plant species, including clover, grasses, and ornamental plants.
Behavior Patterns
Active during spring and autumn. They are known for moving in large numbers toward sunny walls or invading homes during weather changes. They reproduce through parthenogenesis (females produce offspring without mating).
Risks & Benefits
They do not bite humans or pets and do not cause structural damage. However, they are considered a nuisance pest and can leave a reddish-brown stain if crushed on fabrics or carpets.
