Size: Nymphs can range from 2mm to 13mm (adult size). Adults are typically 13-16 mm (about 0.5-0.6 inches) long.

Natural Habitat
Indoors, especially in kitchens and bathrooms, preferring warm, humid areas close to food and water sources. They hide in cracks, crevices, behind appliances, and under sinks.
Diet & Feeding
Omnivorous scavengers. They will eat almost anything, including human food scraps, grease, pet food, toothpaste, soap, glue, and wallpaper paste.
Behavior Patterns
Nocturnal, hiding during the day and becoming active at night to forage for food and water. They are fast runners and can reproduce quickly, leading to rapid infestations. Nymphs molt several times before reaching adulthood.
Risks & Benefits
Risks: Known as pests, they can spread bacteria and pathogens (e.g., Salmonella, E. coli), trigger allergies and asthma attacks, and contaminate food preparation surfaces and food items with their droppings and bodily secretions. They have no known benefits to humans in a domestic setting.
