Diet & Feeding
Omnivorous; primarily feeds on plants (grass, seedlings, vegetables, fruits), but also eats small insects, decaying organic matter, and fungi.
Behavior Patterns
Nocturnal; males are known for their characteristic chirping sound produced by rubbing their wings together to attract females and ward off other males. They are active jumpers and can occasionally fly short distances.
