Nocturnal and highly reproductive; females carry an egg case (ootheca) until just before hatching. They are known for their rapid movement and ability to hide in very narrow crevices.
Risks & Benefits
Major pest risk; they carry pathogens like E. coli and Salmonella, and their droppings/secretions contain allergens that can trigger asthma. They offer no significant benefits in human environments.
