Behavior Patterns
Nocturnal, elusive, and photophobic. They undergo hemimetabolous development (five nymphal stages) requiring a blood meal to molt at each stage.
Risks & Benefits
Potential for significant psychological distress, allergic reactions, and skin irritation from bites. They are not known vectors of disease but represent a major domestic pest nuisance.
