Behavior Patterns

They are most active in cooler temperatures of spring and fall. They frequently gather in large numbers on vertical surfaces like home foundations and window sills. They lay bright red eggs in cracks and crevices.

Risks & Benefits

They do not bite humans or pets and do not cause structural damage. However, they are considered a nuisance pest because they can leave reddish stains on fabrics and carpets if crushed.
