Behavior Patterns
Known as aphid lions, they use their curved mandibles to pierce prey and suck out body fluids. Some species camouflage themselves with debris or the hollow skins of their prey.
Risks & Benefits
Highly beneficial for biological pest control in agriculture and gardens. They can occasionally nip human skin with their mandibles, which may cause minor, temporary irritation, but they are not venomous.
