Natural Habitat
Highly adaptable, but primarily found indoors in warm, humid areas near food and water sources like kitchens and bathrooms.
Diet & Feeding
Omnivorous scavenger; eats almost anything including crumbs, grease, glue, soap, and leather.
Behavior Patterns
Nocturnal and highly reproductive; nymphs undergo several molts before reaching maturity and typically stay close to harborages.
Risks & Benefits
Significant indoor pest. Risks include the spread of bacteria, pathogens, and allergens that can trigger asthma. They offer no benefits to home ecosystems.
