They are most active during cool weather in spring and fall. They do not bite humans or pets but can leave persistent red stains when crushed.

Risks & Benefits

Harmless to humans and pets as they are non-toxic and do not carry disease; however, they are considered a nuisance pest when they invade homes in large numbers.
