Primarily feeds on dander (dead skin cells) shed by humans and pets.

Behavior Patterns

Thrive in temperatures between 68-77°F and high humidity (70-80%). They do not drink water but absorb it from the air. Life cycle lasts about 65-100 days.

Risks & Benefits

Major source of allergens. Proteins in their feces and body parts can cause asthma, eczema, and allergic rhinitis in sensitive individuals. They have no known benefits to the local ecosystem.
