Behavior Patterns
Mainly nocturnal; they emerge at night to feed and return to hiding spots. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymphal stages, and adult) and require a blood meal to progress to the next life stage.
Risks & Benefits
They do not transmit diseases but their bites can cause allergic reactions, skin rashes, and psychological distress. Economically, they are a major pest control burden with no known ecological benefits to human environments.
