Natural Habitat

They feed primarily on microscopic mold, fungi, algae, and organic starches such as book paste or glue.
Behavior Patterns
They are wingless, fast-moving insects that thrive in environments with humidity above 60%. They do not undergo a larval stage, instead hatching from eggs as miniature versions of adults (nymphs).

They do not bite humans or pets and are not known to transmit diseases; however, they are considered a nuisance pest and their presence usually indicates a high-humidity or mold problem that needs addressing.
