Natural Habitat

Diet & Feeding
Starch and sugar-rich materials, including paper, book bindings, wallpaper paste, cereal, and natural fabrics like silk or cotton.
Behavior Patterns
Nocturnal and extremely fast-moving. They undergo ametabolic development (simple metamorphosis) and are known for their fish-like swaying motion when running.
Risks & Benefits
Generally harmless to humans as they do not bite or transmit diseases, but they are considered household pests because they can damage property such as books, clothing, and stored food.
