Natural Habitat

Behavior Patterns
Nymphs are bright red and lack fully developed wings. They are highly social, often congregating in large groups on warm surfaces. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis.

Generally harmless to humans and trees. They are considered a nuisance pest when they enter homes in large numbers. They do not bite or sting but may leave stains on fabrics.
