Natural Habitat

Diet & Feeding

Polyphagous herbivore, feeding on a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, and ornamental plants. It uses its piercing-sucking mouthparts to extract plant juices, leading to damage to crops.

Behavior Patterns

Known for its aggregation behavior, especially in the fall when it seeks overwintering sites in sheltered locations. It emits a pungent odor when disturbed, which is a defense mechanism. They are active during the day and can fly.

Risks & Benefits
