Primarily feed on organic detritus such as shed human and animal skin flakes (dander), pollen, fungi, and bacteria.

Behavior Patterns

Nocturnal activity, preferring dark, undisturbed areas. They reproduce quickly, with a life cycle lasting 1-2 months. They do not bite or sting but their fecal pellets and body fragments are major allergens.
