Diet & Feeding

Behavior Patterns

Parthenogenetic (females reproduce without males); they occur in large numbers and are most active in cooler temperatures. They often migrate indoors when their outdoor habitat dries out or temperatures fluctuate.

Risks & Benefits

They do not bite or transmit diseases to humans or pets. They are primarily nuisance pests because they leave red stains if crushed on fabrics or walls, but they do not cause significant structural or botanical damage.
