Diet & Feeding

Nectar and pollen from flowers. They are important pollinators.

Behavior Patterns

Solitary bees, though multiple females may share a nest entrance. They bore circular holes into wood to create nests for their offspring. Males are territorial and can be aggressive but lack a sting. Females can sting but only do so if provoked.
