Wall Spider
Scientific Name: Selenops sp. (due to the difficulty in species-level identification from the image alone)
Order & Family: Araneae, Selenopidae (although the image quality makes precise identification difficult, the body shape and leg arrangement strongly suggest a Wall Spider, possibly from the Selenopidae family which are also known as Flattie spiders due to their flattened bodies).
Size: Body length typically ranges from 10-20 mm, with leg spans considerably larger.

Natural Habitat
Commonly found in and around human dwellings, including on walls (as the name suggests), ceilings, and in crevices. They prefer warm, dry environments.
Diet & Feeding
Primarily preys on various insects and other small arthropods. They are opportunistic hunters.
Behavior Patterns
Hunts actively, often at night, rather than building elaborate webs for catching prey. They are very fast runners and can move quickly across surfaces. When disturbed, they may retreat rapidly.
Risks & Benefits
Generally harmless to humans. While they possess venom like most spiders, their bite is not considered medically significant to humans, typically causing only mild local pain, if it occurs at all. They are beneficial as natural pest control, preying on household insects.
