Diet & Feeding

Omnivorous scavengers; they eat almost anything organic, including decaying matter, food scraps, paper, fabric, and even other insects.

Behavior Patterns

Nocturnal; active at night, foraging for food and water. They are known for their rapid movements when disturbed. Females produce oothecae (egg cases) that contain multiple eggs.

Risks: Can transmit bacteria and pathogens, trigger allergies and asthma, contaminate food, and cause unpleasant odors. Benefits: In natural environments, they contribute to decomposition processes.
