Behavior Patterns
Nocturnal insects that remain hidden during the day and emerge at night to feed. They undergo hemimetabolous metamorphosis across five nymph stages, each requiring a blood meal.
Risks & Benefits
While not known to transmit diseases, their bites can cause allergic reactions, skin rashes, and psychological distress. They are considered high-risk urban pests due to their ability to spread through travel and hitchhiking.
