Natural Habitat
Lawns, grassy areas, and occasionally inside buildings near windows
Diet & Feeding
Herbivorous; they suck juices from grasses, clovers, and various common weeds
Behavior Patterns
Nuisance invaders during spring and fall; they move into homes when their outdoor habitat becomes unsuitable, but cannot survive or reproduce indoors
Risks & Benefits
Harmless to humans and pets as they do not bite or transmit disease; however, they can leave red stains on surfaces if crushed
