Natural Habitat
Found in bird nests and occasionally in human dwellings when their avian hosts leave.
Diet & Feeding
Parasitic blood feeders, primarily targeting birds but will bite humans if a host is unavailable.
Behavior Patterns
Active hunters that move quickly. They complete their life cycle on or near the host and are most active at night.
