Size: Typically 1-25 mm (0.04-1 inch) in body length, with most species being less than 15 mm.

Natural Habitat
Widely distributed in various habitats including forests, grasslands, deserts, and human dwellings. Often found on vertical surfaces, foliage, and in sunny areas.
Diet & Feeding
Strictly carnivorous, preying on a wide range of insects and other small arthropods. They are active hunters, using their excellent eyesight to stalk and pounce on prey.
Behavior Patterns
Known for their keen vision and agile movements. They do not build webs to catch prey but rather use silk for safety lines, retreats, and for egg sacs. They often perform elaborate courtship dances. They are active during the day.
Risks & Benefits
Benefits: Excellent pest control, preying on many common household and garden pests. Harmless to humans, though they can bite if provoked, which is generally not medically significant, causing only mild, localized pain or swelling. They are not considered dangerous.
