Size: Approximately 7-12 mm (0.28-0.47 inches) in length.

Natural Habitat
Primarily outdoor species, commonly found in gardens, compost piles, under leaf litter, bark, stones, and in other damp, undisturbed outdoor areas. May occasionally wander indoors, attracted to lights.
Diet & Feeding
Omnivorous; feeds on decaying plant and animal matter, sap, and various organic debris. Can also feed on household items if it enters homes.
Behavior Patterns
Nocturnal; hides in cracks and crevices during the day. Known for rapid reproduction. Occasionally seen flying, especially in warmer conditions or when disturbed.
Risks & Benefits
Generally considered a nuisance pest if it enters homes, but does not typically infest structures like other cockroach species. Can potentially carry pathogens, but less of a health risk than indoor cockroach species. In the ecosystem, they contribute to decomposition.
