Natural Habitat

Diet & Feeding
Feeds on microscopic mold, fungi, algae, and starchy glues found in book bindings and wallpaper.
Behavior Patterns
Prefer high humidity (above 60%); they are fast-running but wingless and often seek out dark, undisturbed locations.
Risks & Benefits
Harmless to humans and pets as they do not bite or spread disease; however, they indicate a moisture problem and can damage old books or documents in large numbers.
