Size: 1 mm (eggs/first-stage nymphs) to 5 mm (adults). The specimen in the image appears to be a very early-stage nymph or an egg.

Natural Habitat
Human dwellings, specifically in cracks and crevices near sleeping areas such as mattresses, bed frames, and furniture.
Diet & Feeding
Obligate hematophagous (blood-sucking) insects that feed primarily on the blood of humans during the night.
Behavior Patterns
Nocturnal and elusive. They undergo hemimetabolous metamorphosis, requiring a blood meal to molt into each of their five nymphal stages.
Risks & Benefits
Risks include itchy skin rashes, psychological distress, and allergic reactions to bites. They are not known to transmit diseases to humans. There are no ecological benefits in a domestic setting.
