Natural Habitat

Feed on organic detritus, specifically flakes of shed human and animal skin (dander).
Behavior Patterns
Prefer humid environments (above 50% relative humidity) and dark areas. They do not drink water but absorb moisture from the air.
Risks & Benefits
A major source of allergens; their waste products and carcasses can trigger asthma, eczema, and allergic rhinitis in sensitive individuals.
