Stationary/Inanimate. These plugs are expelled naturally from the skin or scratched off. They are often brittle or waxy in texture.

Harmless debris. Primary risk is misidentification; they are very commonly mistaken for bed bug eggs, parasitic worms (like tapeworm segments), or mites by concerned homeowners.
