Nocturnal and highly elusive; unlike most cockroaches, they prefer high locations over floor-level spots. They have a life cycle of approximately 160 days.

Considered a domestic pest that can contaminate food, trigger allergies, and potentially spread pathogens like Salmonella; they provide no significant benefits in human environments.
