Bed Bug

Human dwellings, specifically in cracks and crevices near sleeping areas such as mattresses, bed frames, and headboards.

Obligate hematophagous (blood-feeders), primarily targeting humans but may feed on other warm-blooded animals.

Nocturnal parasites that emerge at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis with five nymphal stages, each requiring a blood meal to molt.

No known benefits. Risks include itchy welts, allergic reactions, psychological distress, and insomnia. They are not known to transmit diseases to humans.
