Behavior Patterns
Nocturnal and elusive; they hide during the day and are attracted to heat and carbon dioxide emitted by hosts. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult).
Risks & Benefits
Risks include physical reactions like itchy welts, insomnia, and anxiety; while they are not known to transmit diseases, heavy infestations cause significant stress. There are no known benefits to the ecosystem.
