Obligate hematophagous (blood-eaters), primarily feeding on human blood during the night.

Behavior Patterns

Nocturnal and elusive; they hide during the day and are attracted to heat and carbon dioxide emitted by hosts. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult).
