Behavior Patterns
Larvae spin a portable silken case incorporating fibers from their food source. They carry this case as they feed and eventually pupate inside it. They prefer dark, undisturbed areas.
Risks & Benefits
Significant household pest that causes physical damage to clothing and textiles. They provide no direct benefit to human environments, though they act as decomposers of animal remains in nature.
