Household Casebearer (Case-bearing Clothes Moth larva)

Indoors, commonly found on walls, inside closets, underneath furniture, and in warm, humid areas.

Feeds on organic fibers, natural textiles (wool, silk, feathers), dead insects, spider webs, and shed human hair.

The larva builds a flattened, spindle-shaped silk case covered with sand, soil, and debris, carrying it everywhere as it feeds. It can peek out from either end of the case to move or feed and pupates inside the case.

Harmless to humans and pets (does not bite or sting), but can cause minor damage to clothing, upholstery, rugs, and natural fabric items in homes.
