Springtail

Damp environments high in organic matter such as leaf litter, soil, and occasionally bathrooms or kitchens near moisture.

Mostly feeds on decaying plant matter, fungi, mold, and algae.

Known for their ability to 'jump' using a tail-like structure called a furcula. They are highly dependent on high humidity and can congregate in large numbers.

Harmless to humans, pets, and structures. They play a beneficial role in the ecosystem by breaking down organic matter and cycling nutrients into the soil.
