Size: Adults typically measure 4-5 mm (0.16-0.20 inches) in length.

Natural Habitat
Primarily found in human dwellings, especially in mattresses, bed frames, furniture, and cracks in walls. They prefer dark, secluded areas close to a host.
Diet & Feeding
Strictly hematophagous, feeding on the blood of humans and other warm-blooded animals.
Behavior Patterns
Nocturnal, hiding in cracks and crevices during the day. They are attracted to warmth and carbon dioxide. Females can lay hundreds of eggs over a lifetime.
Risks & Benefits
Potential risks include itchy bites, skin irritation, and secondary infections from scratching. They are not known to transmit diseases to humans. There are no known benefits.
