Casemaking Clothes Moth (larva)

Commonly found indoors in dark areas such as closets, under furniture, or in storage bins containing natural fibers.

Larvae feed on animal-based fibers including wool, fur, feathers, hair, and silk; they also consume dust and debris.

The larva constructs and lives inside a portable tube or case made from silk and debris, which it drags along while feeding. They undergo complete metamorphosis.

A significant domestic pest that causes permanent damage to clothing, upholstery, and carpets. They do not pose a direct health risk to humans but can destroy valuable textile items.
