Size: Very small; approximately 0.75 mm (roughly the size of a pinhead).

Natural Habitat
Typically found outdoors on heavily fertilized lawns, clover, and other grasses. They often move indoors during spring and autumn when outdoor temperatures fluctuate.
Diet & Feeding
Herbivorous; they feed on the sap of more than 200 different plant species, showing a preference for clover and lawn grasses.
Behavior Patterns
They are most active in cooler weather (spring and fall). They congregate in massive numbers on the sunny, warm sides of buildings before attempting to migrate indoors through cracks and crevices.
Risks & Benefits
Risks: They are a nuisance pest indoors because they leave stubborn red stains if crushed on walls, curtains, or upholstery. Benefits: They do not bite humans or pets, nor do they transmit diseases or damage structural wood.
