Green Lacewing Larva (Junk Bug)

Found in gardens, crops, and various landscaped areas where prey are present.

Generalist predator; primarily eats aphids, mealybugs, thrips, and mites.

Known as junk bugs because they carry carcasses of prey and debris on their backs for camouflage and protection from predators.

Highly beneficial to ecosystems and agriculture as a natural pest control; harmless to humans but may occasionally give a tiny, non-toxic nip if handled.
