Size: Nymphs can be as small as 1.5mm to 4.5mm depending on their developmental stage; adults reach 5-7mm.

Natural Habitat
Found in human dwellings, typically in cracks and crevices, bed frames, mattresses, and furniture near sleeping areas.
Diet & Feeding
Obligate hematophages, meaning they feed exclusively on the blood of warm-blooded animals, primarily humans. This specimen appears to have recently fed, as indicated by the elongated, darker abdomen.
Behavior Patterns
Mainly nocturnal, emerging at night to feed. They undergo cinq nymphal stages (instars) and must have a blood meal to molt into the next stage.
Risks & Benefits
Risks include itchy skin rashes, psychological distress, and allergic reactions to bites. They are not known to transmit diseases to humans. There are no known benefits to the ecosystem relative to human habitation.
