Leaf-mimic Katydid

Tall grasslands, forest edges, deciduous trees, and gardens.

Herbivorous; primarily feeds on the leaves of shrubs, trees, and wildflowers.

Nocturnal and masters of leaf mimicry for camouflage. Males produce a high-pitched ultrasound song to attract females during the summer months.
