Case-bearing Clothes Moth (larva)

Indoor environments, particularly in closets, carpets, and storage areas containing animal-based fibers.

Keratin-rich organic materials including wool, silk, feathers, fur, and hair.

The larva constructs a portable silken case incorporating fibers from its food source. It carries this case while feeding and eventually pupates inside it. Usually avoids light.

No health risk to humans; however, they are significant household pests that cause permanent damage to clothing, upholstery, and expensive rugs.
