Bed Bug (smashed/engorged)

Found in human dwellings, typically in cracks and crevices near sleeping areas, mattresses, and furniture.

Obligate hematophages, feeding exclusively on the blood of warm-blooded animals, primarily humans.

Nocturnal and elusive; they hide during the day and emerge at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult).

Risks include skin rashes, psychological effects, and allergic symptoms from bites. They are not known to transmit diseases to humans but cause significant distress and economic cost.
